Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Workday Calculator and how to read the result.
Are both selected dates included?
Yes. Each endpoint belongs to the range and contributes one workday when it falls from Monday through Friday.
Are public holidays excluded?
No. This simplified model excludes only Saturday and Sunday. Public holidays, organization closures, and jurisdiction-specific rules are not included.
What happens when both dates are the same?
A Monday-through-Friday date returns 1 workday. A Saturday or Sunday returns 0 workdays and 1 weekend day.
Can the end date come first?
No. Reverse ranges are rejected rather than swapped, converted to absolute values, or returned as negative counts.
Do time zones or daylight saving time affect the result?
No. Inputs are civil calendar dates. Time of day, local midnight, UTC offsets, time zones, and daylight-saving transitions are outside the calculation.
Which related date tool should I use?
