Word to PDF

Render supported DOCX paragraphs, headings, lists, tables, and internal PNG/JPEG images into a selectable PDF.

One .docx file up to 8 MiB compressed; up to 1,500 paragraphs, 100 tables, 5,000 table cells, and 20 bounded PNG/JPEG images.

The selected DOCX is read and converted by this page in a browser worker; code and network inspection found no document-upload request in this workflow. Normal site resources may still load, so browser processing is not a confidentiality guarantee.

Complex Office layout, fields, headers, footers, tracked changes, active content, custom fonts, text effects, and multi-header layouts are not reproduced. The PDF renderer uses built-in Helvetica-compatible fonts and rejects unsupported scripts, symbols, or emoji rather than emitting damaged text.

Review pagination, tables, images, and text before sharing the PDF. Read the PDF Security Guide for document handling and sharing limitations.

Frequently asked questions and limitations

  • What input is accepted? One DOCX file up to 8 MiB compressed, within the paragraph, table, cell, and image limits shown above.
  • Will the PDF match Microsoft Word exactly? No. The converter reproduces supported content rather than the complete Word layout engine, so pagination and formatting can differ.
  • Are password-protected documents supported? No. Encrypted, malformed, active-content, or unsupported packages are rejected; this tool does not remove passwords or scan files for malware.
  • What happens to the download? A browser object URL exposes the generated PDF for download until it is replaced, reset, or the component closes. Review where your browser saves the file.
  • What other PDF workflows are available? Use Merge PDF, PDF to Word, or Excel to PDF for their specifically supported formats.
