Unit Converters

Currency Converter

Convert between USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, and INR using an exchange rate you enter.

Enter the values and review the result.

1 USD = [enter rate] EUR

The exchange rate is supplied by you. Calzivo does not fetch or verify rates. Enter the number of EUR units represented by one USD.

Enter an amount and your supplied exchange rate.

A valid result will show the converted amount, applied rate, inverse rate, and formula substitution.

How to read the rate direction

A pair rate states how many units of the target currency correspond to one unit of the source currency.

1 source currency = entered rate x target currency

Illustrative user-entered example: if you enter 0.92 for USD to EUR, the calculator reads that as 1 USD = 0.92 EUR. An amount of 100 USD then produces 92 EUR.

The reciprocal is different because it reverses the direction: 1 EUR = 1 / 0.92 USD.

Assumptions and limitations

  • You supply the rate and remain responsible for its direction and relevance.
  • Calzivo does not fetch, update, or verify exchange rates.
  • Fees, spreads, provider rounding, and transaction timing are excluded.
  • Internal arithmetic uses the unrounded supplied rate; displayed amounts and rates are rounded for readability.
  • The output is an educational arithmetic estimate, not a guaranteed bank, card, cash-exchange, remittance, or payment-provider quote.

Quick answers

What this calculator answers

  • Result: Converts an amount by multiplying it by the exchange rate you supply.
  • Direction: The rate field states how many target-currency units equal one source-currency unit.
  • Inverse: Derives the reciprocal rate from the same unrounded supplied rate.
  • Limit: Calzivo does not fetch or verify rates, and the result is not a guaranteed transaction quote.

Accuracy and limitations

Calzivo tools are built for practical estimates, conversions, and checks. Some tools use standard formulas or simplified assumptions, and results can be affected by input accuracy, rounding, units, local rules, or changing official requirements.

Results depend on the values you enter and any simplified assumptions used by the tool. Verify important results before making decisions or submitting official information.

How to Use This Tool

Use these steps to enter the right inputs and interpret the result correctly.

1

Enter the amount and choose different source and target currencies.

2

Enter the rate as target-currency units for one source-currency unit.

3

Review the converted amount, applied rate, inverse rate, and formula substitution.

4

Use Swap currencies to reverse the pair and derive the reciprocal rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Currency Converter and how to read the result.

Where does the exchange rate come from?

You supply the exchange rate. Calzivo does not fetch, update, or verify rates from a bank, market, card network, or payment provider.

How should I enter the exchange rate?

Read the direction beside the field. If it says 1 USD = [rate] EUR, enter the number of euros represented by one US dollar.

How is the inverse rate calculated?

The inverse is 1 divided by the supplied rate. It is mathematically derived from your input and is not independently sourced.

Why can a payment provider show a different amount?

Banks, cards, cash exchanges, remittance services, and payment providers may use different rates, spreads, fees, timing, and rounding.

Can I convert a currency to itself?

No. Select two different currencies so the entered pair direction and inverse remain meaningful.

Is the result a transaction quote?

No. It is an arithmetic estimate from the amount and rate you enter, not a guaranteed transaction quote.
