How this currency estimate works
This converter uses fixed reference rates relative to USD. It first converts the source amount into USD, then converts that amount into the target currency.
Example: if 1 USD = 0.92 EUR, then 100 USD is estimated as 92 EUR before any fees or spreads.
These are not live exchange rates. Banks, payment apps, card networks, and money-transfer providers may use different rates and fees.
Common currency conversion mistakes
- Assuming the calculator rate is a live market quote.
- Forgetting transfer fees, card fees, or exchange-rate spreads.
- Comparing bank rates at different times of day.
- Using an estimate for an important transaction without checking the provider rate.
